Our history

We each took a different path before our ways crossed. Between us, we trained in meteorology, electrical engineering and oceanography, and went on to work for consultancies, energy developers, research institutes and meteorological centres. That mix of perspectives is what we bring to every project today: helping the energy transition with solid wind resource, and metocean expertise.

The founding partners met at Pondera, a Dutch consultancy later acquired by Haskoning. Working at different sized companies helped develop our own vision, and what kind of team we wanted to build ourselves. In our team we value creativity, support development of knowledge and work closely together to take Redouble to the next level.

We started as three partners in 2025, were joined by a fourth in 2026, and have welcomed two interns along the way. Who we are

REdouble is led by a team of experienced professionals with complementary expertise, whose collective knowledge and passion are the driving force behind our success and that of our customers. The synergy between Eriks’ expertise in wind and project management, Laury’s in-depth knowledge of metocean conditions, and Maarten’s technical skills and creativity enables REdouble to provide holistic assessments and creative solutions for complex projects. This means we deliver the most accurate and comprehensive insights, leading to optimized layouts and significantly reduced operational risks. Erik Holtslag

Founder & Senior Consultant

With a background in meteorology and 23 years of experience at companies such as Ecofys and Vattenfall, Erik has initiated programs and promoted the efficiency of wind energy. His role as Chief Operations Officer at Test Site Lelystad demonstrates his knowledge of R&D and remote sensing. Erik is known for his passion and dedication.

Maarten Graveland
Partner & Operational Specialist

After holding a number of general technical positions, Maarten has been working on energy efficiency and renewable energy since 2006, with the aim of achieving the energy transition. He does this in the role of WTB-E technician, project leader, product developer, and operational specialist, previously at Ecofys and Pondera, among others. After developing solar boilers and biogas systems, he is now mainly involved in wind measurement campaigns using lidar or measurement masts and their power supply, and has installed more than 100 lidars worldwide.

Laury Renac

Partner & Senior Consultant

After graduating from Lund University, Laury gained more than 10 years of experience in metocean modeling and analysis. His specialization in monitoring and modeling wave and current conditions is crucial for offshore projects. Laury is a thorough engineer with qualities such as precision and creativity.

Marieke Dirksen

Partner & Senior Consultant

With a background in geophysics, meteorology and fluid mechanics, Marieke has worked as a wind and solar resource specialist since 2023, following positions at KNMI, Delft University of Technology and Pondera. She specialises in wind resource assessment, model validation and the analysis of large meteorological datasets, and has authored several scientific publications. Marieke is a creative problem-solver with a passion for data and complex projects.
